Canadian International School @ Lakeside Campus

The Canadian International School (CIS) offers students an opportunity to develop through a diverse and challenging curriculum and a wide range of activities.

Students are given ownership of the learning process and are encouraged to actively participate in their own education by setting personal goals and practicing on-going self-evaluation. Their inquiry- based programmes and activities encourage students to discover their interests and strengths. All of this is done in a safe, caring and supportive school environment that fosters positive attitudes and allows students to challenge themselves and be risk-takers, without the fear of being judged.

In partnership with parents, they strive to equip students with 21st century skills - skills that will enable them to thrive, exercise leadership, achieve ambitious and worthy goals.

CIS’ Kindergarten programme is designed to stimulate imagination, creativity and self discovery in youngest learners (aged 2 to 5). Reflecting their international context, their curriculum draws from the best curricula globally, and is delivered within the Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework. Warm and nurturing learning environments support their inquiry and play-based approach, ensuring children develop the knowledge and skills needed for their future academic success.

At CIS, children’s social and emotional well-being is paramount. They nurture their natural sense of curiosity and wonder through their inquiry and play-based teaching approach.

Teaching instruction caters to each student’s needs, abilities, and learning styles, resulting in a community of happy, confident and engaged learners.

Parents play a very important role in their child’s foundational years and they encourage parents to take an active role in their child’s education and school life. In turn, they aim to keep parents informed about their child’s learning progress, their programmes and the latest in educational research.
