[Expert Series Workshop]:Building Brain Connections Through Art

[Expert Series Workshop]:Building Brain Connections Through Art

During the brain's early years, neural connections are being made at a rapid rate.

Young children’s brains are constantly making connections in order to make sense of what they learn. Viewing artworks allows children to find new combinations of existing ideas, concepts and perceptions. Abstract artworks, in particular, offer rich opportunities for creative associations. Discover how looking at artworks can encourage brain building through divergent thinking. Is a circle merely a circle or is there is more than meets the eye?  Through art viewing, children look to learn and learn to look.
