Communicate to Connect: Conflict between Partners

Communicate to Connect: Conflict between Partners

When conflict arises between partners, some of us use harsh words, or become cold and distant, and it is hard not to be disconnected.

Join us as we explore ways to communicate so we can connect with our partners instead of feeling the uncomfortable feeling of disconnection.

Chapter Zero is proud and excited to be collaborating with international CNVC trainer, Tina Schmitt, in a series of 4 NVC workshops.

In the second workshop we'll be looking at conflict between partners. How do we use compassionate communication to keep communication channels open and trusting between partners even when we disagree with one another? Relationships become stronger when we can find connection in conflicts, allowing trust to deepen.

In this workshop, we will:

  • Explore self-compassion in a conflict to remain connected to our own feelings and needs.
  • Practise hearing the needs behind our partner’s words and actions.
  • Practise expressing ourselves honestly in a way that can be received by our partners.

This workshop is for people who want to be able to connect on a deeper level with their partners during times of stressful conflicts. We hope this workshop will help improve communication with your loved ones as you navigate the trials and tribulations that life inevitably throws at us.
