To celebrate the New Year, Chinatown Heritage Centre presents “The Chinese Zodiac” by Glacy Soh in collaboration with Meredith Tan.
“The Chinese Zodiac” features 12 original animal signs done digitally on 12 original fabric cloths done traditionally. The artworks are created by 2 artists with very different backgrounds and styles. As Glacy describes, “Meredith and I can't be more different. For one, she is young, I am 3 cycles ahead of her and when it comes to art, I am old school and she is modern. I hold a brush, she holds a stylus. She has formal art training, I have no rules!”
The artworks will be on display at Chinatown Heritage Centre for the month of January 2018. A new line of merchandise on “The Chinese Zodiac” series is also available for sale at the museum retail shop.
