Computhink

Computhink is a programming school for kids and they believe that the ability to understand and write computer programs is an essential skill in an increasingly connected and digital world.

They set out asking these questions:

  1. How can they make computer programming relevant to young children?
  2. What can they do to help them learn the skills necessary to navigate their future world?
  3. How can they help Singapore to create the Mark Zuckerbergs or Elon Musks of the future?

They believe anyone can program, and they aim to make it so.

Computer classes for kids start with the ScratchThinker Programming For Kids class at Computhink. This is an introductory program for kids to learn about programming (or coding) in a fun and enjoyable way via Scratch (developed by MIT). Your kid will learn techniques to think like a programmer and apply Computational Thinking concepts to create mini-games, animations or story projects of their choice.

At Computhink, they teach programming by using visual blocks with drag and drop functions where minimal typing is required. Their tried and tested approach makes it easy and fun for your child to create anything as quickly as they can imagine it, while picking up programming skills.

In their new Minecraft Coding with Python® for Kids, kids learn computational and programming concepts with Python® and use these skills to build big structures in Minecraft such as a house with a swimming pool, or a high tower surrounded by a flowing lava moat in just a few seconds and with just a few lines of code! By learning how to write programs in Python® and applying it in Minecraft, your kid will learn a new skill while having absolute fun in Minecraft!
