InnoBit Challenge 2019

InnoBit Challenge 2019

Ever wanted to make a difference in the community but didn't know where to start?

Join us at the 2019 Innobit Challenge where we showcase our talented challengers' take on society's issues with their technologically-powered solutions. With 50 teams participating across our Secondary school and Open category, we are excited to witness these young talents exhibit and compete with their innovative solutions. To spice things up, we are bringing back the winners from Singapore's first ground-up social innovation hackathon to demonstrate their products to prospective investors.

We are inviting you to join us at this exciting festival where you can vote for your favorite projects and stand to win prizes worth over hundreds of dollars! YOUR vote helps to realize the efforts of our participants and bring forth the benefits to our communities.

Our Aim

At the Innobit Challenge 2019, we strive to become the launchpad for any individual to showcase and bring forth their solutions for the betterment of our society. Each participating team was simply given a set of Micro:Bit and materials worth over SGD 80 to create their prototype. The winning teams stand to walk away with our carefully curated list of attractive prizes.

But hold on, just what is a Micro:Bit?

Designed by BBC and first used in the United Kingdom for education, Micro:Bit is a credit card-sized computer that can easily integrate controller buttons, sensors, LED display and many other devices. It can even be remotely programmed right from your smartphone! It is designed to make learning and teaching easy and fun. With a little bit of code and creativity, its potential applications are limitless - creating products ranging from games like Flappy Bird and racing cars to even sophisticated gesture-responsive robots.
