This year’s edition of Festival at the Fort is held in conjunction with Singapore Night Festival.

 

From 26 August to 4 September, a variety of activities and programmes have been organised such as exhibitions, movie screenings, guided tours, game tours and craft activities.

Movie Screenings

Dolittle

  • 26 August 2022 | 8pm | Fort Canning Green

Dr. John Dolittle lives in solitude behind the high walls of his lush manor in 19th-century England. His only companionship comes from an array of exotic animals that he speaks to on a daily basis. But he is summoned by the queen to find a cure for her life-threatening disease and he soon embarks on a journey with his furry friends in search of a healing tree. 

Spider-Man: No Way Home

  • 27 August 2022 | 8pm | Fort Canning Green

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighbourhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. Peter Parker seeks Doctor Strange’s help to make people forget about Spiderman’s identity. However, when the spell he casts gets corrupted, several unwanted guests enter their universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but also the future of the Multiverse.

In Search of The Flower Guardian

Queen Bee’s Royal Tea Party is the grandest day in the natural calendar, not to be messed with, but the mischievous mole can’t resist. Now everything is amiss. The Flower Guardian must be found to turn things right, but where is she?! Clues must be solved to reach her, at once.

Follow Queen Bee up the stairs in a quest to save the day. Fascinating characters will accompany you as you track all over Fort Canning Park in this great adventure.

Be quick! Queen Bee is furious because time is buzzing away.

“In Search of The Flower Guardian” weaves the rich botanical and cultural history of Fort Canning Park with gameplay. A host of wonderful characters will be your guides as you decipher a bundle of curious clues. Play along, and discover Fort Canning in a whole new light.

A Treasure Trove of Fantastical Delights

Behold “A Treasure Trove of Fantastical Delights”! Come on in and interact with activities for all ages. Create your own artworks and crafts, and engage in workshops inspired by the beautiful Fort Canning Park. 

Asian Spices & Cocktails:  A Demo & Tasting Session featuring Leon Tan (Laut)

  • 3 September 2022 | 2pm - 3pm | Fort Canning Centre
  • Recommended for children aged 7 and above. 12 years and below must be accompanied by adults.

Take a journey through Fort Canning’s very own Spice Garden in this special showcase of locally foraged culinary spices. Gain a new perspective on how spices are used in original cocktails whilst hearing from one of Singapore’s top mixologists, Leon Tan on the craft of drinks mixing/inventing and ingredients discovery.

Through a live demonstration of three different types of cocktails (shaken/stirred/build), participants will be able to enjoy a tasting at the end of the demonstration. Mocktail versions will be available.

Using canvas and paint, have fun splashing and sploshing, drawing what you've seen from your day spent at Fort Canning Park.

Bring the joy of gardening home as you design your own planter.

Make Your Own Shrinky Dink Keyring

Create your own colourful keyrings inspired by the archaeological finds of Fort Canning Park.

Hand Embroidery

Spend a quiet afternoon having a go at hand embroidering nature-inspired motifs. 

Heritage on the Hill Tour

Did you know that the history of Fort Canning dates back to the 14th century? Join us on a journey that highlights the changing faces of Fort Canning, from ancient to colonial times and beyond. Look forward to the artefacts and monuments from different time periods that can still be found around the park.

How to get there?

Fort Canning Park is bounded by Hill Street, Canning Rise, Clemenceau Avenue and River Valley Road.

By MRT: 

Alight at Clarke Quay Station (Exit E) or Dhoby Ghaut Station (Exit B).

  • Clarke Quay Station: Come out from Exit E, turn left and walk along Coleman Bridge. Turn left again at the end of Coleman Bridge and head towards the pedestrian overhead bridge (100m away) along River Valley Road. Cross the overhead bridge and you will enter Fort Canning Park.  
  • Dhoby Ghaut Station: Come out from Exit B, cross Penang Road, turn left and keep a lookout for the tunnel leading to Fort Canning Park.
