Let’s experience the uniqueness of Chinese culture and learn to appreciate this traditional art as you create your own mask!

Chinese opera is all about captivating stories, dazzling costumes, dramatic makeup and magnificent props. The opera masks, which are painted and drawn on the faces of the actors, are used to depict the traits and characteristics of the role each actor is playing.

This programme is suitable for children 7 to 12 years old. Registration is required. Should registration be full and you wish to be put on the waiting list, please email your name, contact number and no. of pax to arts@nlb.gov.sg with the subject line ‘Chinese Opera Mask Workshop’.
