Get your hands on the spinning wheel, and learn how to spin a soft lump of clay into a functional vessel.
Get acquainted with the ancient technqiue of just using your fingers to pinch a organic animal themed bowl or cup.
Choose among our wide range of fired containers/blankwares in acrylic colours. Add your own colour scheme, patterns and motifs. Immediate take home.
Includes:
- Wheel throwing: 2 balls of clay. Bisque fired. (Glaze firing option at $10-15 per piece)
- Pinched vessel: hand sized bowl. Includes glaze firing.
- 3 Pottery Painting: one container vessel

Family Clay Boot Camp
- Tues 10am - 1pm
- Wed/Fri 2pm - 5pm
- Suitable for 8 - 15 years of age
These holidays you and/or your child can explore the amazing sensation of working with clay. This immersion programme starts with a warm-up exercise in preparing and wedging the clay. Our experienced instructor will demonstrate the process then it will be your turn to explore the moving clay on your own. With a little help and one on one assistance, everyone will create unique clay forms.
Participants will also gain skills in hand-making / hand-building principles and simple ways to create decorative elements on a clay surface. Using your latest wheel thrown creations as a base, anyone can transfer a simple blob of clay into a unique artwork.
You and/or child will have a sensory experience that will help to strengthen their sensory development; concentration and motor skills; creative thinking and problem solving, and esteem and expression.
All works will be bisque fired and available for collection in 4 weeks. Two artworks will be glazed with an option to glaze additional work for only $10 per piece.
Designed for absolute beginners and suitable for children between 8 and 15 years old. Price includes instruction by our artist, all materials, every form fired to hardened form and 2 pieces glazed and fired.
Please book early make sure you and your child can join in the fun as this course is restricted to only 6 participants at a time.

Family Pottery Painting
- Suitable for 5 years of age
Have plenty of fun painting up a pottery container. Learn from our artists how to mix colours, make tones and exquisite patterns and motifs.
Using artist quality acrylics. Immediate take home.
Programme includes: 1 medium sized pottery container and one 1 free blankware to take home (total: 2 pieces)
