Camp Unplugged Winter 2018

Camp Unplugged Winter 2018

Camp Unplugges is a digital detox camp; an experiential Journey with opportunities for children to unplug and connect with Nature, with others and the wider community.

A continued exploration from the last bee camp, beeswax will be further explored in the crafting activities, making candles, beeswax bowls complimented with woodwork in making their candle holder. The children will also be introduced to fibre arts; trying their hands in working with wool from spinning it into yarn to make their own finger knitted crafts.

Give your child a chance to be:

  • Disciplined Innovator – to gain mastery of their own learning journeys & set of life skills
  • Respectful Mentor – in guiding and helping out each other in a multi-age group setting
  • Clear Thinker – develop an awareness of his/her inner strength, while appreciating others differences through camp daily activities

Daily activities:

  • Child-led MovNat Nature Explorations
  • Farm to Table Prep & Dining
  • Therapeutic Creative Arts & Movement Engagements
  • Creative Woodworking

Through ‘Living & Being’ model of a holistic experiential camp, they draw inspiration from the children to empower them to tap into their inner strengths and resources to support their aptitude for coping with life long challenges with compassion, empathy, resilience.

They adopt a balance of self-directed and led activities, to support children needs as a whole child; nurturing and making the connections between their bodies, hearts and minds as they immerse in a rare natural environment in landscape which cultivates a sense of sustainability and environmental ownership.

Camp Unplugged is

  • Inspired by both Nature and Waldorf pedagogy that is seeded deeply in an holistic approach in nurturing young active bodies, hearts and minds.
  • Conceptualized by educators, creative art therapist and parents.
  • Motivated by groundbreaking research on children development, neuroscience and the impact of the use of technology & futurology.
  • Rooted on an amazing rustic space and community at the one and only Kampung Kampus.

This Camp is supported by Ground-up Initiative, Touchwood, WOW Kampung, Human Naturally.
