Come and celebrate the joy of gardening at the Community Garden Festival!
The Festival celebrates the passion and skills of Singapore’s gardeners through a myriad of fun-filled activities including a marketplace, design competitions and garden displays. Look out for the upcoming Community Garden Festival from 3 to 5 November 2017 and join in celebrating the wonders of edible gardening at HortPark!
Festival Highlights
- Edibles Themed Displays
Stunning displays created from edibles will welcome visitors to HortPark, starting from the Visitors’ Services Centre. Look out for the edibles-themed landscape displays by award-winning local and international designers and recreate some of these ideas in your own homes!
Come see the various methods of growing edibles, including espaliers and green walls, together with uncommon edible plant varieties. Shortlisted entries of the Community Garden Edibles Competition will also be laid out in an impressive display of melons, pumpkins, beans and more.
- Innovation and Technology
View the wide array of innovative gardening technology such as edible growth kits for mushrooms and leafy greens. Learn about the commercial applications of these technologies or how these can be incorporated into the home for novel gardening projects.
- Community in Bloom Garden Displays
Soak up the vibrant community spirit as you visit the Community in Bloom garden displays, each with distinct themes, set up and designed by gardeners from across Singapore.
- MarketPlace
Grab a steal with plants and gardening products offered at over 40 booths, set up by community gardeners, hobbyists, social enterprises, local start-ups, artisans, and commercial growers!
Don’t miss the chance to take home uncommon edible and ornamental plant varieties sold by NParks’ Pasir Panjang Nursery at the MarketPlace. Explore the range of innovation and technology products such as growing kits and lights to aid you in becoming a master grower at home or at work!
Grab some refreshments after your tour at the festival, and look out for local favourites and artisanal drinks.
