Why Toddlers Swimming?

Toddlers Swimming is designed to create an excellent foundation for the child's future in the water, promoting safe practices and confidence. In addition to toddler discovering the freedom of buoyancy and underwater swimming, this is also an ideal environment for the family to spend quality time together. Toddlers Swimming opens toddlers to a new possibility of exploration and plays that is much different from the dry land.

The sooner a child discovers the freedom of buoyancy and underwater swimming, the more relaxed and independent he or she will become.

What makes Inspire Mum & Baby unique compared to a lot of swimming schools is the Birthlight Philosophy.

Birthlight philosophy's aim is to help both parent and baby relax and enjoy shared movements.

So, what does Toddlers Swimming do?

This class is designed to support the transition from babyhood to independent movement. We use songs, rythms with plenty of movements and stretching. Relaxed holding is developed so that toddlers gain increasing sense of security and freedom in their own time until they are ready to take off away from the parents' arms, preferably without swimming aids but with the use of buoyancy supports such as short foam woggles.

This course encourages toddlers to take charge while being supported by their parents in a loving and intimate way. It also encourages parents to let go of fear and find a balance between achievement and loving acceptance, ultimately resulting in effortless swimming. Water is an ideal medium to develop emotional intelligence, which is increasingly regarded as the key for success in the next generation.

Inspire Mum & Baby provides Classes Island wide on private basis. Regular classes are provided at East Coast pool (walking distance from Eunos MRT, Joo Chiat area).
