Weekly classes are differentiated for ages and skill levels and work in a group class setting.

  • Communicating through Paint (January - March) Saturdays 10:30am / Mondays 4:30pm

This exciting series of weekly classes will guide students through a range of painting techniques; assisting them to use a brush and paint in a range of dynamic and new ways. They will be encouraged to engage with the textures and colours and interpret meaning and mood as it connects with them on a personal level. As students are guided through this process they will create a series of paintings and painting experiments that communicate how they experience the world around them. Students will be creating work that is original and will be encouraged to consider their intent with every brush stroke and decision they make.

  • Sculpture (January - March) 12 noon Saturdays

This dynamic series of weekly classes will guide students through a range of sculpting and construction techniques; assisting them to use a wide range of medium. They will use different media, including plaster, paper-mache, air-dry clay, card construction cellu-clay and more.

As students are guided through this process they will create a series of stackable sculptures that communicate how they experience the world around them. Students will be creating work that is original and will be encouraged to consider their intent with every sculptured decision and finishing stroke.

As well as exploring form and shape, students will be encouraged to use a range of painting and finishing strategies.
