Microbit Coding Workshop

Microbit Coding Workshop

micro:bit is a pocket-sized computer designed by the BBC in the UK. It is used by schools in the UK to teach computer education initially

Many schools world-wide started adopting using micro:bit to teach computing as part of the push towards STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics) education. micro:bit is a versatile tool to introduce students to the world of coding as it can be used as a standalone with the many features onboard, such as LEDs, compass, accelerometer, bluetooth and more. Hardware components, such as a breadboard, sound buzzers or even motors, can be integrated with micro:bit to make interesting projects to teach students the basics of both the hardware and software.

About the Workshop

Students will first be introduced to the drag-and-drop programming interface use to code the micro: bit. The second part of the workshop will focus on hands-on implementation of micro: bit projects. Students will have a chance to learn more about micro: bit, breadboard, LEDs, sound buzzer and other hardware components as we integrate these into the project. Students will embark on projects like “Make Your Own Keyboard”, “Stead Hands”, “Secret Code” and more.

So come join us in a fun and enriching microbit workshop now!
