What do you say if we combine art and cake decoration skills in one class?
The older kids will rejoice this time round with a cake painting class tailored for them! This workshop levels up from the children usual art classes by giving them the opportunity to paint with butter cream on a delicious chocolate cake! Drop the usual paint brushes as we are teaching them how to paint from cake palette knives!
Join us to draw this stunning come-alive Toucan bird on a cake! It is suitable for all children from age 10 to 17. This is a beginner class so no painting experience required. Parents are welcomed to join them as a parent n child bonding session at a nominal fee.
In this half day workshop, participants will learn:
- how to frost a sheet cake
- how to sketch a toucan with the use of stencil
- how to use a palette knife properly
- the different painting strokes
- how to paint leaves
- how to paint the bird feathers
- the step by step process of painting the toucan
- the buttercream transfer technique
You will bring back:
- 8 x 8 chocolate cake + cake box for taking home decorated cake
- Practice worksheet and templates
- Tools are provided only for use in class (sold separately)
- Italian Meringue buttercream will be used in the class
