Have a sweet start to the Year of the Dragon by participating in Marina Square’s Dragon’s Beard Candy Making Workshop and enjoy the exclusive Dragon’s Elixirs.
Dragon’s Beard Candy is a traditional Chinese sweet that dates back hundreds of years. It is prepared by hand-pulling firm malt into thousands of delicious, melt-in-the-mouth thin threads resembling its namesake “dragon’s beard”.
During the 1.5-hour workshop, watch and learn directly from Dragon’s Beard Candy masters Roger and Elaine Poon from Singapore Dragon’s Beard. Participants will learn the history and legends of this imperial delicacy, plus try their hand at making around 10 candies with Coconut and Peanut fillings.

Dragon’s Elixirs are crispy 100% malt Dragon's Beard Delicacies that allow the consumer to exhale Dragon’s clouds. This delicacy is an edible creation by Singaporean Roger Poon, Dragon Bead's Candy Master, in an effort to give a modern update to this ancient handmade Dragon's Beard sweet treat! It’s time for the return of Dragon’s Elixirs (only available in Singapore) to usher in the Lunar Year of the Dragon!

Lion Dance Performance & God of Fortune Appearance

Usher in the Lunar New Year with spectacular lion dance performances by Singapore Yiwei Athletic Association, the award-winning local lion dance troupe! Expect a variety of lion dance routines on high poles from the international champions, accompanied by rhythmic beats of drums, gongs and cymbals.
To spread an abundance of good fortune to all visitors, the God of Fortune will also make an appearance at the atrium and give out plush toys to 28 lucky visitors!
