The Need for Music Education in Schools

Music Factory is the brainchild of one very dedicated and passionate piano music teacher, Roberta Anne Gohwho firmly believes that music education is quintessential to all-rounded child development.

Roberta’s music career started as a classically-trained private piano tutor and piano accompanist in primary schools. While freelancing as a school teacher, she noticed that many early childhood schools did not have a proper music education program. Music classes simply meant children singing and dancing to a music CD. Many teachers also lacked the knowledge to impart music education confidently to children.

Emboldened by a personal mission to make quality music education available and affordable to every child, Roberta subsequently set up the Music Factory in 2002 with her partner Paul Yam who runs the business side.

Today, Music Factory’s early childhood music education programs for babies and toddlers (Birth – 3 Years)and preschoolers (4 – 6 Years) are available in over 200 (confirm number) preschools, kindergartens and childcare centres in Singapore, helping over 10,000 children develop a love of music.

Music Factory Preschoolers Program

The Music Factory Preschoolers Program was designed for little musicians by a team of dedicated music educators and specialists, with three levels for children of various ages.

LEVEL 1 (4 Years): Let’s Rock!
LEVEL 2 (5 Years): Let’s Have Fun!
LEVEL 3 (6 Years): Let’s Make Music!
