World-renowned dancer and choreographer Eko Supriyanto presents an original site-specific dance work in response to Raden Saleh’s practice and his conviction in gender equality.
Beginning in Between Worlds, the performance - which melds Javanese court style and contemporary dance––takes visitors through Saleh’s paintings of animals, nature and landscapes. It continues in the UOB Southeast Asia Gallery, where paintings by Saleh depicting the eruption of Merapi are displayed.
