[Inclusive Performance] Harmony of the Dragon: A Tai Chi and Fan Dance Journey

Be moved by the grace of Tai Chi, the elegance of Fan Dance, and the vibrant energy of Dragon Dance – ancient traditions steeped in myths, legends, and cultural heritage. Drawing on the dragon as a legendary symbol of courage, unity, and prosperity, the talented youths with special needs from Metta Welfare Association breathe new life into these enduring traditions through months of dedicated practice and teamwork.

Interactive Storytelling: The Legend of Sang Nila Utama

Come on a sensory storytelling adventure with Sang Nila Utama!

Together through music, movement, touch, imagination and play, we will visit the Beach of Wonder, journey across the sea, and discover Temasek through a range of engaging sensory experiences.

Children are welcome to participate in their own way and at their own pace in a supportive and family-friendly environment. The journey ends with a special lion paper plate craft for each child to personalise and bring home.

Inclusive Drop-in Craft (Batik)

Relax and unwind at our Batik Drop-in Craft Station, where youths with Special Needs from Arts@Metta will guide you through the art of batik painting. Get inspired by the youth artists' very own works which reimagines Singapore's rich natural heritage, and get glimpses of the artists' own imaginative worlds before bringing home a traditional creation of your own (while stocks last).

[Inclusive Drop-in Craft] Crown of the Lion City

Channel your inner Sang Nila Utama and craft your very own crown! Legend has it that the founding prince's bold spirit and vision gave birth to the Lion City we call home today. Design and decorate a crown fit for royalty, and wear it around the museum as you explore more Myths and Legends! This programme is suitable for all ages and abilities. Priority will be given to persons with additional needs.
