Presented by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Singapore, the annual Korea Festival is back again for its ninth year! Dedicated to introducing Singaporeans to the Korean culture, Korea Festival 2016 will see the nex atrium transformed into K-Square, made up of seven exciting zones – K-Culture, K-Technology, K-Drama, K-Food, K-Beauty, K-Travel and K-Pop.
Experience the best of Korea at these 7 K-Zones:
K-Culture: Try your hand at a variety of traditional Korean games such as Ttakji, Yutnori, Jegichagi, and pick up the intricate art of crafting Buchae (traditional Korean fan) and mask painting.
K-Technology: Jump into the exciting world of virtual reality with the Samsung Gear VR and take a seat in the fast lane with the LG F1 Simulator.
K-Drama: Capture special moments against the backdrop of iconic scenes from popular dramas such as "W – Two Worlds" and “Goblin”, with your favourite stars such as Lee Jong Suk, Gong Yoo and Lee Dong Wook.
K-Food: Indulge in your favourite Korean snacks and delicacies from CJ, Koryo Mart and K-Berry from idoori with daily food sampling sessions.
K-Beauty: Get inspired with daily make-up and hair styling demonstrations by Dusol Beauty (Sidus HQ Entertainment’s (iHQ) first overseas hair salon), and snag free samples from Etude House and The Shilla Duty Free.
K-Travel: Try on a Hanbok for free and snap a photo with a life-sized pop-up standee of K-idol Song Joong Ki.
K-Pop: Feast your eyes on Singapore’s first-ever K-Pop mini photo exhibition proudly presented by HallyuSG. The exhibition will showcase never-seen-before shots of the biggest Korean stars, such as VIXX, BTS, GOT7, BIGBANG, SEVENTEEN, Seo Kang Jun, Lee Kwang Soo, and Lee Min Ho, on their visits to Singapore. K-Square event highlights:
26 Nov, 5.00pm: Korean cooking demonstration and sampling by celebrity chef Shin Hyo Sub, who has appeared in Korean TV shows such as the hit Running Man, as a cooking competition judge
26 & 27 Nov, 3.30pm: Pororo & Friends meet & greet session
Besides these highlights, enjoy an exciting line-up of activities such as Taekwondo and K-Pop dance performances and food demonstrations at 8pm every day.
