The City Remembers / NUS Stage & NUS Electronic Music Lab

Drawn primarily from Alfian Sa’at’s A History of Amnesia, The City Remembers is a devised collaboration by @NUS Stage and NUS Electronic Music Lab (EML), which explores notions of rigidity in the faceless conditions of urbanisation.

Created out of workshops with award-winning director Edith Podesta and utilising Anne Bogart’s Composition and Laban acting techniques, actors will embody the stories set to a live soundtrack composed by musicians from EML, which tease out the darker sides of living in a modern multi-cultural society.
