Beloved by children and adults all over the world, the story of Hansel and Gretel has inspired many adaptations for the stage. One of the most famous versions is Engelbert Humperdinck’s 1893 opera, which remains as popular today as it was when it premiered. Filled with lush, romantic melodies and German folk songs, Hansel and Gretel is one of the great operas best experienced live.
In this adventure for the whole family, Orchestra of the Music Makers is joined by an international and local cast of singers for this staged concert performance, directed by Edith Podesta and conducted by Chan Tze Law.
