Playeum presents NeuroCeramics with the Da Vinci Group!
Come join our friends from Da Vinci Group for an upcoming ceramics workshop at Playeum for ages 18 months to 12 years (programme will be scaffolded for older children).
Workshop Theme: Seasons of the Earth
Children will be invited to take a look into the different seasons and explore the various climates we face in a year through the sensorial use of clay!
Drop-off style workshop; children need not be accompanied by parents during the workshop. However, parent accompaniment is optional for children aged 18 months to 3 years old, depending on child's comfort/preference.
Da Vinci Group’s NeuroCeramics® curriculum is developed to expose children to multiple concepts and to enhance learning through sensorial exploration. Using clay as a medium, it makes children present and engages them in the moment, where the process of learning is critical. Research has shown that learning occurs differently and optimally when multiple senses are used, Neuronal firing is robust and associations to learning are made differently. The ceramic products created through their curriculum serve as trigger points for participants to remember the concepts introduced.
