Join upcoming talk for parents with Dr. Elizabeth Kim from My First Bite, who will share on cultivating healthy eating in preschool-age children and encouraging them to be healthy food explorers.
The talk will introduce sensory education and provide parents with tips and tools to promote healthy eating at home. There will also be an opportunity for discussion and Q&A after the talk.
About Dr Kim & My First Bite
Dr. Elizabeth Kim is the co-founder of My First Bite. She holds a Masters in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education where she investigated how preschoolers trust in others in learning. She completed her Ph.D. in Psychology and Social Behavior from University of California Irvine, specializing in developmental psychology. Her doctoral dissertation was on preschoolers’ healthy eating behaviors in social settings.
My First Bite is a children’s enrichment program (for ages 3-6) that teaches healthy eating and food appreciation using sensory education. The program is designed to take children on a sensory journey using their sight, touch, smell, hearing, and taste to explore the world of food. Our students are encouraged to participate in fun and engaging activities to build their curiosity and confidence in approaching new types of foods and experiences.
Please note that tickets once purchased may not be refunded. However, it may be transferred to other programmes of the same value, subject to availability. Tickets may be transferred or reimbursed in full if the workshop is cancelled or postponed by Playeum. The workshop may be cancelled in event that the number of sign-ups fall below the minimum set.
If you would like to bring your child(ren) along, all workshop participants can enjoy discounted admission of $17.60 per child (includes admission for 1 accompanying adult) to the Children’s Centre for Creativity. Admission can be purchased directly at the Centre upon arrival.
