Leading up to Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day, they’ve got an interactive workshop specially in store for you!
Conducted by Isabelle Desjeux, each parent/child team will learn how to create their very own pinhole camera to take home. Participants will learn how to use recycled materials to build the camera, after which they will get to snap some test shots, before developing their own pictures in a makeshift darkroom! There is no guarantee on how the photos will turn out, but all the fun lies in the process of making, yes?
Participants are encouraged to bring along their own “camera box” for this workshop. Some examples include shoeboxes, biscuit tins, coffee tins, etc. Also, as part of the festivities, the organization encourages anyone to upload their photos taken from pinhole cameras, so thet will have a set up ready for participants to upload their photos on the spot.
