Family Dance and Music Jamboree by Rolypoly Family and Little Creatures
(Pre-registration required)
Recommended for families with children 3 - 6 years old (younger and older children are welcome)
Family Dance and Music Jamboree is a time and space for families to play with movement and sounds as a way to be together. Children and their grown-ups will enjoy dance and music, in each others' company and in the company of dance artists from Rolypoly Family and music artists from Little Creatures.
Our facilitators start off the Jamboree with a 45 min guided class to get the creative juices going. Each class will explore a different dance and musical idea. Then, we move into a 45 min improvisation session, when we dance and make music freely. Come discover how movement and sound exploration enhance our expression, connection and pleasure.
Families of all shapes and sizes welcome! Children with special needs welcome!
Children and grown-ups should be dressed in comfortable attire for active movement. No prior dance experience needed.

Participation Fee (subsidised by LearnSG Seed Fund):
Commit to all 5 sessions - $60 per family ($12/session)
Drop-in at $15/session per family, no matter the size.

*** In the Jamboree, there is no "right way" to dance and make music, though we provide the environment and tips for safe engagement.
*** Please note that the Jamboree is not a "drop-off" programme; the more the grown-ups participate, the more the children will too.
*** Please note that adult participants who show up without children under 12 years old will be turned away. Please contact us if you are interested in similar events for adults or for older children.
Family Dance & Music Jamboree is a collaboration between Rolypoly Family and Little Creatures by SA. It brings together our shared interests in play, improvisation and the innate creativity within children and adults.
We first played together at Rolypoly Family's 2017 Year-End Jam, and are delighted to be facilitating this series of jams together.
