I Can Dance to Keith Haring by Moving Arts

“I Can Dance to Keith Haring” by Moving Arts is an integrated arts programme exploring the use of arts and crafts with dance for parent and child.

Inspired by American pop art artist Keith Haring and popular dance culture Hip Hop, it is an enriching programme that aims to build creativity and redefine the appreciation of arts for participants; where both parents and children will develop knowledge on urban street art and murals. Participants will also be introduced to the basic movements of hip hop.

  • Suitable for ages 6 and above and accompanied by sibling (at least 1 above 10 years old) or family members.
  • Participants are required to attend the 2-hour session, which include an art and dance workshop.
  • Participants are to be dressed in comfortable sports attired with covered shoes.

About Moving Arts

Founded in 2005 by Ms Wong Wai Yee (Director), MOVING ARTS is a dance education company that promotes the awareness and appreciation of dance and the performing arts in Singapore.

Their work is not just to mould participants but also to liberate and set free; not to dominate but to inspire, so that participants may engage in the appreciation, diversity and richness of the dance experience.

Fringe Activity Silkscreen Workshop  by The Visual Collective and HowtoInk

Join for a hands-on DIY silkscreen experience! Choose from 2 designs to silkscreen on and bring home a tote bag. Craftsmen will be there to assist so no prior experience is needed.

About The Visual Collective

The Visual Collective (TVC) is made up of like-minded groups/individuals who love creating art and are strong believers of pushing boundaries and creative exploration. Their projects are always a series of workshops on subjects that revolve around dance, like Music Production/Beat Making, Tagging/Graffiti, Fashion/costume styling and more!

For this project, TVC is working with How to Ink on a live Silkscreen booth – The team of aspiring graphic designers who share a common passion in printmaking and handicrafts. They strive to push forward boundaries and make craft accessible to everyone. Their mantra is to have fun in the process of picking up a new skill.

  • Time: 3.15pm - 5.15pm
  • Free. No pre-registration is required. Limited to first 80 pax based on walk-ins.
