Calling all music and performance lovers!

 

Enjoy a string of free performances happening every Saturday, based on the four ethnic groups in Singapore! 

  • Date: Every Saturday from 15 July to 26 August
  • Time: 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.55pm
  • Venue: Merlion Plaza (Imbiah Station)
  • RexArts, Lotus Collab and Attrians

Come down to Sentosa and be entertained with three different ethnic groups performances on the same day! RexArts will showcase exciting Wushu stunts and face changing (Biàn Lian) performances. Lotus Collab will be performing Indian classical fusion music with a mix of percussion, vocal and strings, while Attrians  will showcase various genres of Malay Dance.

  • Peranakan Sayang

Formed in 2009, this performing singing group has been entertaining audiences in Singapore and around the world with their unique brand of music that provides a fresh take on local Peranakan folk songs and pop classic oldies.

Date: 22 July

  • Djoko Mangkrengg Performance Group

Made up of a modern day ensemble combining traditional Indonesian instruments such as the Angklung, Kulintang and Gamelan, and Western instruments such as strings & percussion, let the group amuse you with their inimitable mix of fusion music and contemporary sounds.

  • Flame of the Forest

The band synergizes the different ideas and concepts from other music with their understanding of Indian Classical and Folk music - concocting a refreshing blend of music.

  • SZINC

A fusion of East and West band playing traditional songs with a modern twist using instruments like the Erhu, keyboards, sanxian  and percussion. 

Date: 12 August

  • Pierce Secondary Wind Symphony and Bishan Park School Band

Come on down and give your support to Singapore's  young and aspiring musicians. 

Date: 19 August 

  • Singapore Shiok Out!

Join in the celebration with Music and Drama Company’s (MDC) artistes, including singers from Rhythmix, and bands such as E-Sharps and Camokakis. They will be performing popular favourites, National Day Parade songs and original works from MDC’s NS50 album, and promise to leave you all shioked-out!

How to get there?

By Cable Car:

Get into Sentosa by Cable Car and you will be rewarded with an aerial overview of the Island including Resorts World Sentosa and Universal Studios, Singapore’s City skyline and Harbour. The best mode of transport into the island takes you directly to the attractions hub of Sentosa: Imbiah Lookout. Alight and be ready to kick-start your Sentosa journey with 11 attractions to choose from at Imbiah Lookout.

To get here, alight at Harbourfront MRT and take Exit B (Harbourfront Centre). Follow directional signs leading to Singapore Cable Car station at Harbourfront Tower II. Double the pleasure as your ticket gains you admission into Sentosa, as well as Asia’s First Cable Car Museum.

By MRT:

Take the North-East Line or Circle Line and alight at the HarbourFront Station. From there, you may either take the Sentosa Express located at the 3rd level of VivoCity shopping mall (Lobby L), or take a leisurely stroll down along the Sentosa Boardwalk into Sentosa. Train fares vary.
 

By Sentosa Express:

The Sentosa Express, located at VivoCity (Lobby L, Level 3), provides easy access to Sentosa, HarbourFront Center.

By Shuttle Bus from Beach Station to Vivo City (One - Way Out of Sentosa)

Every Friday - Sunday and Public Holidays 6pm to 9pm (last bus from Beach Station at 9pm) 

By Public Buses:

Take a bus and alight along Telok Blangah Road. From there, you may either take the Sentosa Express located at the 3rd level of VivoCity shopping mall (Lobby L), or take a leisurely stroll along the Sentosa Boardwalk into Sentosa.
