The Seletar Mall opens to public on 18 December 2014 with eight screens.

 

The opening of the new digital boothless projection cinema is scheduled to coincide with the release of December blockbuster The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies.

Mr. Mark Shaw, Executive Vice President of Operations, said: “Shaw Theatres Seletar is the first in the concept of boutique neighborhood cinemas. The cineplex occupies a smaller footprint than conventional cinemas without compromising Shaw Theatre’s signature customer experience. Seletar’s halls feature the same wall-to-wall screens with Dolby 7.1 Digital Surround Sound, luxury Figuer as seats and generous legroom as larger venues. This is also first boothless cineplex featuring top-in-class Christie Solaria One+projectors, ACT Digital Cinema Control systems and RealD 3D systems, the most comfortable and brightest 3D experience.”
