Singapore Table Tennis Association (STTA) is a National Sports Association affiliated to the Singapore National Olympic Council and Sport Singapore 

 

Sports Excellence

Under the Sports Excellence 2000 scheme, table tennis was selected as one of the 7 core sports in Singapore. With full support from SSC, STTA made tremendous progress.

STTA provides the athletes with the best possible facilities, amenities and environment for developing the sports and to reach their maximum sporting potential. Highly qualified coaches are employed from China to raise the standard of the national squad. Professional sparring partners are also recruited to spar with the national paddlers.
These efforts coupled with the systematic training programmes, enables the national paddlers to deliver exceptional results in the recent years.

Singapore also won the first Olympic SILVER MEDAL in the Women's Team Event at the Beijing Olympic Games.  The women’s team was crowned the World Champions in the 2010 LIEBHERR World Table Tennis Championships. 

The national squad also won medals at major games like SEA Games, Asian Games and the Commonwealth Games.

The vision of STTA is to make table tennis the most popular game in Singapore, and the mission is to develop world-class table tennis players by identifying, nurturing and motivating aspiring table-tennis talents to become the best that they could be.

The STTA is also committed to promoting table tennis vigorously by building a significant number of table tennis players to help make a vibrant sporting Singapore.
