Joyful introduction to coding for kids and complete beginners

Event Information

Productively engage your kids this October break in a fun & free coding workshop for complete beginners, hosted by Pulkit Agarwal, Stanford Alum and founder of kids coding company Strive Math.

In addition to the coding lesson, there will be group games, competitions, and prizes so kids can compete and learn with their friends.

We’ll be limiting the number of students to 20 to make sure each student gets the individual attention they need to get the most out of the event.

What will my kid learn?

We gently introduce kids to programming fundamentals where kids learn to build exciting projects like the one shown below, making this workshop the perfect way to introduce your kid to programming.

Students will grapple with programming fundamentals and leave the event with the tools needed to learn coding on their own, using online resources.

We’ve hosted 20+ events over the past two years for more than 1000 students; in doing so, we’ve learned how to make workshops engaging while achieving strong learning outcomes.

Pulkit Agarwal finished high school at the age of 16. He then studied Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech and graduated ranked 1st of 5794 students, with straight As and a 4.0 GPA. He also got an MBA from Stanford, where he was identified by Business Insider as "1 of the 5 rising stars of the Stanford MBA class for 2020"

While studying at Stanford, Pulkit became fascinated with the cutting-edge pedagogical style of learning math through code after reading UC Davis research showing it boosts math grades by 33 percentile. He has directly experienced the impact this technique can make on a student’s joy and confidence in mathematics.
