Sunstar was founded in Japan in 1932, and has now expanded to a global organization headquartered in Switzerland serving oral health care professionals and consumers in 90 countries.

Sunstar expanded its business to Singapore in 1992. Its Corporate Motto is encapsulated in the words “Always strive to help people everywhere achieve better health and enhance their quality -of -life”. It endeavors to develop products and services in areas of oral care, health and beauty, industrial chemical and automobile industries, so that people around the world can stay healthy and lead healthy lives.

The support Sunstar is providing in co-hosting the calligraphy exhibition in Singapore is also grounded in the Corporate Motto. More specifically, while contributing to the international promotion of calligraphy as a traditional art that promotes mental and emotional health, it also intends to promote cultural exchange between Singapore and Japan, and to link this to the promotion of people's health.
