The 398.2 Storytellling Festival is an independent, non-profit community initiative founded by Roger Jenkins.
Titled the 398.2 Storytelling Festival (after the Dewey classification for fairytales in the Library), they began with a FREE storytelling festival on 28 & 29 Nov 2015 featuring:
- 20 award-winning and new storytellers from Singapore, Malaysia and Korea
- 44 interactive events for kids from 4 to 12 years
- stories told in 4 languages – English, Mandarin, Malay & Tamil
- 2 great locations – National Library (28 Nov) and National Museum (29 Nov)
- 2 full days – from 11am to 5.30pm
- 4200 puppets to give away
They will continue offering quality events by their troupe of professional and amateur storytellers, to keep this beautiful oral tradition alive.
