Weekends at The Artground 18 - 19 August

Weekends at The Artground 18 - 19 August

The Artground has a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes on the weekends that participants will get to enjoy!

They have a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes that participants will get to enjoy, on a first come, first served basis, inside Whitebox or at Good Garden. Each programme will be charged at $10 per parent-child pair. You can purchase a single ticket, TAG cards for 5 or 10 + 1 sessions at $50 and $100 respectively at the reception.

There is no registration for these activities as they are first come, first served. An announcement will be made 5 mins before each programme and the first XX number of children in the queue will get to enjoy the programme (XX refers to the age-specified & capacity of the programme, ie Little Green Thumbs is for the first 20 children from 2 – 4 years old).

There will be no need to pre-register on website for entry into The Artground. Parents and carers will just need to register on portable tablets on site.

18th August, Saturday

  • 10.30am - It's a Piece Of Case! (3 years and up): Express your creativity and create your very own pencil case using fabric scraps.
  • 11.30am - Dance Playground with Rolypoly Family (4 years and up): Dance Playground is where they explore dance and movement through unusual play structures and get (a little) messy. They play games that transform dance and movement into visual forms. What do wiggles, jiggles, and squiggles create?
  • 2.30pm - Thumpety Thump by Bounch and The Band (5 years and up): A fun and energetic percussive experience where kids get to try hand held instruments and jam with the band.
  • 3.30pm - [Groundbreakers] Slinky Sticky Toys (4 -10 years): What does it feel like to be a slinky toy? Let’s find out by moving together as they make and break connections.

19th August, Sunday

  • 10.30am - Baby Beat by Kulcha Pop (8 - 36 months): A cozy performance of classical music favourites with classic and ethnic instruments for the youngest of audiences. This session features Ragha on flute and Stan on keyboard.
  • 11.30am - Terrific Tales by The Storytelling Centre Ltd. - Crocodile Tales (3 - 7 years): The perfect introduction to the art of storytelling especially for little listeners, followed by a simple craft activity.
  • 2.30pm - Tippy Toes by My Piano Room (3 - 6 years): Experience the foundations of ballet in this fun movement workshop for the young ones!
  • 3.30pm - Googly Doodly Monsters by art@homesg (3 years and up): Monsters are friends! What kind of monsters can you create from dropping a bunch of googly eyes on the paper?
  • 4.30pm - Klik! Klang! Boom! (4 - 8 years): With a pinch of curiosity and slab of cheekiness, explore making sounds and music with Zee’s kitchenware.
