Weekends at The Artground 21st - 22nd April 2018


The Artground has a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes on the weekends that participants will get to enjoy!

 

They have a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes that participants will get to enjoy, on a first come, first served basis, inside Whitebox or at Good Garden. Each programme will be charged at $10 per parent-child pair. You can purchase a single ticket, TAG cards for 5 or 10 + 1 sessions at $50 and $100 respectively at the reception.

There will be no need to pre-register on website for entry into The Artground. Parents and carers will however, be required to register on portable devices onsite.

21st April, Saturday

  • 10.30am - Little Green Thumbs: Worms Love Coffee by Cultivate Central - (2 - 3 years): Children will get to meet the friendly creatures that live underground. Through observation of worms, and what they eat, the children will understand about compost, experience various sensory stimuli, and also get to bring back their very own coffee drawing!

  • 11.30am - Little Green Thumbs: Yummy Microgreens by Cultivate Central - (4 - 7 years): In this workshop, children will create and design their own upcycled pot, and mix their own compost/soil, and bring home their own harvest of microgreens!
  • 1.30pm - [Work In Development] Slinky Sticky Toys by The Kueh Tutus (Free for TAG cardholders, limited capacity, 4 - 10 yrs): What does it feel like to be a slinky toy? Let’s find out by moving together as they make and break connections.
  • 2.30pm - Fluffy Slime (4 years and up): Take home your very own fluffy slime made with shaving foam.
  • 3.30pm - Fold Crinkle Roll with us: Workshop by The Kueh Tutus (3 - 10 years): Get drawn into the world of Fold, Crinkle, Roll as they dance and play with paper; transforming one sheet into many things.
  • 4.30pm - Music Jamboree by Little Creatures (All Ages): Join Little Creatures as they bring you songs old and new, young and old in a music jamboree session where you can groove along, sing along, jam along and play along their live music!

22nd April, Sunday

  • 10.30am - Baby Beat by Kulcha Pop (8 - 36 months): A cozy performance of classical music favourites with classic and ethnic instruments for the youngest of audiences. This session features Hairie on the violin and Stan on keyboard.
  • 11.30am - Terrific Tales by The Storytelling Centre Ltd. - Fairytale Capers: Goldilocks and The Three Bears & The Enormous Turnip (3 - 7 years): The perfect introduction to the art of storytelling especially for little listeners, followed by a simple craft activity.
  • 2.30pm - Bollywood Jingles (4 years and up): Come join in with your favourite person to move your body to bollywood grooves in this fun and energetic session!
  • 3.30pm - A Tiny Beat by My Piano Room (3 - 5 years): A sharing of musical concepts and rhythm through music, movement and games for young children.
  • 4.30pm - Arty Crafty Recycle | Upcycle - Blob Bubbling Bottles (3 years and up): A parent-accompanied craft session using recyclables, inspired by fun and a whole lot of imagination. In this session, make your own bubbling blob bottles aka lava lamps.
