Weekends at The Artground 22 - 23 September

The Artground has a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes on the weekends that participants will get to enjoy!

This weekend, they have an array of regular age-specific drop-in programmes as well as ticketed programmes.

TAG Drop-in Programmes

Every weekend, The Artground organises a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes that participants will get to enjoy on a first come, first served basis, inside Whitebox. Each programme will be charged at $10 per parent-child pair. You can purchase a single ticket, TAG cards for 5 or 10 + 1 sessions at $50 and $100 respectively at the reception. There is no registration for these activities as they are first come, first served. An announcement will be made 5 mins before each programme and the first XX number of children in the queue will get to enjoy the programme (XX refers to the age-specified & capacity of the programme, ie Little Green Thumbs is for the first 20 children from 2 – 4 years old).

22nd September, Saturday

  • 10.30am - Little Green Thumbs - Worms Love Coffee by Cultivate Central (2 - 3 years): Children will get to meet the friendly creatures that live underground. Through observation of worms, and what they eat, the children will understand about compost, experience various sensory stimuli, and also get to bring back their very own coffee drawing!
  • 11.30am - Little Green Thumbs - Yummy Microgreens by Cultivate Central (4 years and up): In this workshop, children will create and design their own upcycled pot, and mix their own compost/soil, and bring home their own harvest of microgreens!
  • 3pm - "Which Way? This Way" [7 - 10 years, by SOTA students]: When you’re faced with a plight, and there’s no hope in sight, do you fight or take flight? During their science field trip, seven students begin exploring when… Boom! Pow! Crash! Bang! A huge thunderstorm separates the group! Each are confident they know the right way but…  which way? Join these seven curious students in finding themselves as they journey through the frightening and magical forest. This interactive performance runs for 40mins and is facilitated and performed by a talented and fun group of senior theatre students from SOTA’s Theatre programme. [Free Performance with Registration Here]

  • 10.30am - Klik! Klang! Boom! (4 - 8 years): With a pinch of curiosity and slab of cheekiness, explore making sounds and music with Zee’s kitchenware.

  • 2.30pm - Dance Playground with Rolypoly Family (4 - 6 years): Dance Playground is where children explore dance and movement through unusual play structures and get (a little) messy. They play games that transform dance and movement into visual forms. What do wiggles, jiggles, and squiggles create?
  • 3.30pm - Terrific Tales by The Storytelling Centre Limited - Chinese Folktales (3 - 7 years): The perfect introduction to the art of storytelling especially for little listeners, followed by a simple craft activity.
  • 4.30pm - Rolly Fishy by art@homesg (3.5 - 6 years): The fishes need your help! Help the fishes fill up their tanks by rolling marbles dipped in paint.
