Weekends at The Artground 5th and 6th May


The Artground has a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes on the weekends that participants will get to enjoy!

 

They have a variety of age-specific drop-in programmes that participants will get to enjoy, on a first come, first served basis, inside Whitebox or at Good Garden. Each programme will be charged at $10 per parent-child pair. You can purchase a single ticket, TAG cards for 5 or 10 + 1 sessions at $50 and $100 respectively at the reception.

There is no registration for these activities as they are first come, first served. An announcement will be made 5 mins before each programme and the first XX number of children in the queue will get to enjoy the programme (XX refers to the age-specified & capacity of the programme, ie Little Green Thumbs is for the first 20 children from 2 – 4 years old).

There will be no need to pre-register on website for entry into The Artground. Parents and carers will just need to register on portable tablets on site.

5th May, Saturday

  • 10.30am - Little Green Thumbs: Seed Dumplings by Cultivate Central - (2 - 3 years): Children will get to make their own seed balls with a concoction of clay, compost, coco peat and seeds to form a seed dumpling in their favourite shapes and grow them at home with just a few simple steps.
  • 11.30am - Little Green Thumbs: Yummy Microgreens by Cultivate Central - (4 - 7 years): In this workshop, children will create and design their own upcycled pot, and mix their own compost/soil, and bring home their own harvest of microgreens!
  • 1.30mp - [Work in Development] Slinky Sticky Toys by The Kueh Tutus (Free for TAG cardholders, limited capacity, 4 - 10 yrs): What does it feel like to be a slinky toy? Let’s find out by moving together and make and break connections.
  • 2.30pm - Arty Crafty - Paper Marbling Bookmarks (3 years and up): A parent-accompanied craft session inspired by fun and a whole lot of imaginationIn this session, learn how to make your own paper marbling bookmarks with paint and shaving cream.
  • 3.30pm - Bollywood Jingles (4 years and up): Come join in with your favourite person to move your body to bollywood grooves in this fun and energetic session!
  • 4.30pm - Shapes Splash! by The Good Giftery (4 years and up, 45 mins): Come join shape friends as they  transform into mountains, fountains and bridges. Then, create your own shape picture bag with upcycled textiles.

6th May, Sunday

  • 10.30am - Baby Beat by Kulcha pop (8 - 36 months): A cozy performance of classical music favourites with classic and ethnic instruments for the youngest of audiences. This session features Ragha on flute and Stan on keyboard.
  • 11.30am - Terrific Tales by The Storytelling Centre Ltd. - Stories from Hans Christian Andersen (3 - 7 years): The perfect introduction to the art of storytelling especially for little listeners, followed by a simple craft activity.
  • 2.30pm - Cardboard City by Stan (Pre-walking babies): An exploration for pre-walking babies to inhabit and extend their spatial awareness amongst the everyday materials in this City designed just for them.
  • 3.30pm - Fluffy Slime (4 years and up): Take home your very own fluffy slime made with shaving foam.
  • 4.30pm - Hats Off To You! (3 years and up): Express your creativity and create your very own bucket hat using fabric scraps.
