Enjoy a night filled with classic Lunar New Year tunes alongside the stories of the festival’s traditions in the second edition of ‘Once Upon a Time’. Relish in this musical treat for the entire family as the ensemble performs popular hits with singer-songwriter and Sing My Song 《中国好歌曲》 finalist, Ling Kai 铃凯, and young musicians from the Guzheng Association - Singapore.
The TENG Ensemble is a collective of music educators, scholars and award-winning instrumentalists. They bridge the traditional and contemporary, the East and West, and the old and new. Their unique brand of Singaporean music has brought them to key Asian cities, where they received unanimous acclaim.
Ling Kai 铃凯 is an alternative pop-rock bilingual Singaporean singer-songwriter, who picked up the guitar and started composing her own music at age 17. In 2014, she took part in Chinese reality TV singing show Sing My Song 《中国好歌曲》, and emerged as the sole Singaporean female finalist.
Guzheng Association - Singapore was established in 2014 with a vision to promote unique Guzheng music composition and develop passionate Guzheng performers in Singapore. The association provides musicians and instructors with a platform to hone their skills, and to bring together the various Guzheng communities to develop a more robust ecosystem in Singapore.
MySuperFuture Theatrical Productions, founded by Ian Loy in 2009, is involved in community outreach and theatre projects with various institutions and people of all ages, coaching and creating theatre art for them.
