Locked! - A Contemporary Dance Performance for all ages
Locked! reflects the effect of the COVID-19 pandemic on the private and public body. What happens behind closed doors? Is it a world of wonder and creativity, or of stress and isolation? We draw from our adult and young dancers' experiences to create a movement narrative that reflects the journeys of all families.
Joined by dancers from Decadance Co and decaK!Ds, this contemporary dance production goes inside the inner mind and out to the world behind closed doors. Cycles of loneliness, creativity, isolation, ideation, routines old and new all collapse into one body and space. Locked! invites you to think about how our bodies, young and old, will remember this era-defining moment.
Decadance Co is a collaborative contemporary dance company that aims to be intergenerational, all-inclusive and ageless in all aspects of their work. decak!ds is our youth company, where young dancers explore movement-based learning, motor skills, creative self-expression and confidence through weekly dance classes.
NO Pre-event Testing Required. Audiences will be sat in groups of 2 with safe-distancing gaps between groups.
