CHIJ Katong Primary Choir was formed in 2001 under the baton of Ms. Lim Bee Na.
The choir sings music from all genres including jazz, the blues, gospel music, hymns in Latin and songs in different languages.
About Ms. Lim Bee Na
A strong advocate of music education in schools through choral singing and instrumental learning, Ms. Lim Bee Na’s main focus is developing treble choirs in primary schools. She works primarily as a choral director but is often called upon to conduct and develop music education programmes for both the schools and teachers. She currently directs four primary school choirs, three of which she has been with for over 15 years. Under her leadership, the choirs have participated and have received awards in both local and international competitions.
