Do you know the story of Chinese New Year?
A long time ago, there was a beast named Nian. Every Chinese New Year, it will come down from the mountains to scare the villagers. The villagers must work together to send Nian away for a peaceful year! Will they succeed?
Conducted in a fun and engaging way, parents and children will bond through theatre games, role-play and storytelling as the story of Nian unfolds. The young ones will also build confidence and interest in Mandarin, while learning the values of creative thinking and cooperation in this interactive workshop!
About Renee Chua
Renee Chua is an actress, director and drama educator since 2004. A notable stage actress, her works include Magic Lantern (Paper Monkey, won ST Life! Award for Best Production for Young), 11 (The Theatre Practice, nominated for ST Life! Awards for Best Ensemble), and David the Best (Drama Box).
Admission for ages 5 and above. Recommended for ages 5 to 8 with accompanying adult. Accompanying adult must be above 16 years old.
