The Singapore Lyric Opera Children Training Programme will present solo, duet and ensemble performances featuring songs like How Far I'll Go from Disney’s Moana, choral classic Magical Kingdom by John Rutter and other well-loved children operatic repertoire from traditional operas like Turandot, Carmen and Hansel and Gretel.
About Singapore Lyric Opera Children Training Programme
The Singapore Lyric Opera Children Training Programme is a part of the Singapore Lyric Opera family and created especially for children from 6-12 years old. We aim to encourage acceptance, appreciation and enjoyment of opera in young people. They get to experience a live opera performance annually with professional singers, conductors and acquaint members with opera and orchestra terminology, history and the lives of great opera composers. By working with artistic directors, the programmes also introduce members to the significance of theatre, set and costume design in opera. Through these activities, they can discover and develop their musical interests while expanding their intellectual and cultural horizons.
