Under the baton of Resident Conductor Yeo Jie Yuan, Joseph Chong and Music Advisor Quek Boon Hui, Maha Bodhi School Alumni Band (MBSAB) presents songs from various musicals including Beauty and the Beast, highlights from Disney’s Aladdin and Frozen, and selections from Les Misérables.
MBSAB started out as a project to record a CD in 2005, and consequently the members came together again to participate in the Maha Bodhi School Symphonic Band’s (MBSSB) concert Odyssey II in 2009. That same year, they officially formed as a group. Since then, MBSAB has taken on a range of projects for MBSSB, such as helping them with the Odyssey series, organising camps to develop music talent and leadership skills, as well as forming a demo band for the students during the Singapore Youth Festival seasons.
Advisory: Admission is free and on a first-come, first-served basis, please come early to avoid disappointment. Seating is limited and your group can only enter when everyone is present (no seat reservation is allowed). All ages are welcome and we encourage parents to be mindful of their young children so the performance can be enjoyed by all.
