Nawaz Mirajkar and Aliraza Mirajkar hail from a proud lineage of musicians.
Having learnt to play the tabla from the tender age of seven under the tutelage of his father, Ustad Mohammad Hanif Khan Mirajkar, Nawaz has carried forward the tradition and taught his son Aliraza the art of the tabla.
The father and son duo will present three short pieces that showcase the energetic, dynamic and playful moods of the tabla through various rhythmic compositions as well as the recitation of bhols (mnemonic syllables). Sharing with us their love for the wonderful legacy of the tabla that has been passed on to them, Nawaz and Aliraza proudly celebrate their rich heritage and the amazing bond it has given them!
