Extend your hanami experience with Sakura Japan Fair - a specially curated Japanese fair organised in partnership with JTB Pte Ltd. 

 

Held over the last week of the cherry blossom floral display, Sakura Japan Fair features an array of food and retail options, weekend performances, and exciting workshops on selected dates.

Bento Workshop

Learn the art of creating kawaii lunch boxes that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate! In this workshop, participants get to create a bento featuring an adorable bear enjoying a picnic under sakura trees.

Conducted by WASABI Creations, a boutique consulting company supporting companies in cross border businesses in Japan, Singapore and the rest of Southeast Asia.

Kokedama Workshop

Add a touch of green to your home with kokedama, a form of bonsai where the roots of the plant are wrapped in moss and transformed into a work of art.

Conducted by Make Your Own, established in 2013 to bring a new perspective to the local D.I.Y culture.

Sake Appreciation Workshop

  • 30 - 31 Mar 2018

Learn the basics of Japanese saké, the different ways they are categorised, and how they are paired with food. Participants will get to sample four types of sake paired with a selection of tapas during the workshop.

Conducted by SAKEMARU, the only subscription-based service dedicated to sake in Singapore.

Suzume Odori Dance

  • 31 Mar: 2.00pm – 2.30pm; 6.00pm – 6.30pm

Soak up the joyous atmosphere as dancers perform the Sparrow Dance with fans.

Performance by EYS

EYS, an up-and-coming band from Japan, will be in Singapore to serenade the crowd for one weekend only.

Yamaha Electone Performance

  • 30 Mar: 7.00pm – 7.30pm

Enjoy the contemporary sounds of the Electone, an electronic organ produced by Yamaha.

Japanese Shinobue Flute Performance

  • 7 - 8 Apr: 2.00pm – 2.30pm

Be enchanted by the melodic sounds of the Shinobue, a traditional Japanese flute.

Niiagata Presents...

  • 7 Apr: 4.00pm – 4.45pm
  • 8 Apr: 3.45pm – 4.30pm

Enjoy the best of Niigata Prefecture's modern and traditional entertainment through a combined performance by Albirex Niigata Singapore Cheer Dance School's young and energetic cheerleaders, lively Souodori dancers and the beautiful sounds of the Taishogoto Japanese harp.

Admission to the fair is free, except on weekends where admission charge to Flower Dome applies.
