The Silver Lining: A Celebration of Nature in the Time of Pandemic

The Silver Lining: A Celebration of Nature in the Time of Pandemic

From 5 Feb to 31 March, view an inspiring exhibition of stunning images by members of the Nature Photographic Society, Singapore at the Colonnade at Gardens by the Bay.

Entitled “The Silver Lining: A Celebration of Nature in the Time of Pandemic”, the exhibition showcases Singapore’s incredible biodiversity. Join us as we launch the exhibition on 5 Feb with an array of family-friendly activities.

MORE ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Even though the pandemic has been difficult for many reasons, one positive outcome is that our green spaces have enjoyed more footfall and appreciation than ever before. People have increasingly sought refuge in the great outdoors. Nature, as it has since the beginning of Creation, continues to bring humanity a sense of calm and give us models of resilience. Perhaps most importantly, being in nature humbles us to realise that we are part of something much bigger than ourselves - and that’s ok. By showcasing the splendour of Singapore’s biodiversity, this photo exhibition hopes to bring viewers a sense of optimism for the year ahead. Come what may, LIFE goes on.

We are grateful to our partners - Canon Singapore, Gardens by the Bay, Otah and Friends and Liliewoods - for their sponsorship and support.

Admission to the exhibition is FREE.

The first 100 participants to complete a treasure hunt based on the photos from 5-14 Feb will win a discount code for 10% off group tickets for Otah and Friends! Simply show the results page to the friendly ambassador at Otah and Friends at Gardens by the Bay to redeem the discount code.

Join Daryl as he shares some of his favourite images and discusses the rise of nature photography as a hobby during the pandemic.
