Pokémon®: are they biologically possible? – By Gurion Ang

The world of Pokémon® is full of wonder and mystery – but how might our favourite animated characters function and behave if they were real animals?

Attendees are challenged to identify the zoological inspiration behind some of the 1,000 described Pokémon® species, listing their similarities and differences with flora and fauna from the natural world, and through this, determining if they are biologically possible.

Discover how research in science, technology and engineering has utilized our understanding of these animals to create innovations to support ongoing developments in medicine, health, architecture, electronics, and biotechnology.
