A Singapore Botanic Gardens Movie - Chasing Coral

A Singapore Botanic Gardens Movie - Chasing Coral

Join us for an outdoor screening of “Chasing Coral” on 24 Nov at Eco Lake Lawn, Singapore Botanic Gardens!

In conjunction with International Year of the Reef 2018, witness a journey to reveal how the greatest impact on earth’s changing climate may be hidden beneath in our ocean. Chasing Coral has bagged many awards since its release in 2017, including the Environmental Advocacy Award at the Philadelphia Environmental Film Festival 2018 most recently.

Film Synopsis

“Chasing Coral” taps into the collective will and wisdom of a self-proclaimed coral nerd, top-notch camera designers, and renowned marine biologists as they invent the first time-lapse camera to record bleaching events as they happen. Unfortunately, the effort is anything but simple, and the team doggedly battles technical malfunctions and the force of nature in pursuit of their golden fleece: documenting the indisputable and tragic transformation below the waves. With its breathtaking photograph and nail-biting suspense, “Chasing Coral” is a dramatic revelation that won’t have audiences sitting idle for long.

Movie Run time: 1hour 33 minutes.
