Let history come alive in the Singapore Botanic Gardens!

 

Join the Singapore Botanic Gardens as it celebrates its 3-year inscription anniversary as a World UNESCO Heritage site in a series of everything heritage from tours by staff and volunteers, concerts and performances, food trails, plant sales and free entry to the National Orchid Garden.

  •  30 June - 1 July, 7 - 8 July 11.30am to 3pm - DIY Cocktail Program Botanico (The Garage): Botanico’s brunch guests will get the chance to get their hands dirty and shake up their very own gin cocktail using Bombay Gin and various herbs and fruits, before jazzing it all up with garnishes such as coconut, torch ginger, curry leaf, banana and chiku. Guests will also get to bottle up their cocktail, name their creation, and seal the deal with personalised labels. Their mixologist on hand, Ruzaini, will be happy to give you some insights into the current trends in gin and share his favorite gin recipe. Price: $18 per pax.   •  30 June - 1 July, 7 - 8 July​ 2.30pm to 4pm - DIY Veggie Stamp Placemat Craft Food for Tots: Let your little ones get creative with Food For Tots’ veggie stamp craft programme for kids. Using parts of different vegetables and roots such as sweet potato, yam, and ginger, create random beautiful prints on a cotton placemat.   • 30 June 9.30am to 12.30pm; 1 July 2pm - 5pm; 7 July 9.30am - 12.30pm - Craft with us Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden: Look out for free children’s activity at the Jacob Ballas Children’s Garden during Singapore Botanic Gardens Heritage Festival 2018. What better way to kick start the weekend than to appreciate the Heritage of the Gardens through craft making?
  • 1 July 11am to 2pm; 1 July 5pm - 7pm; 8 July 11am - 2pm; 8 July 5pm - 7pm Cooking Demonstration: Banana Mug Cake Fusion Spoon - The banana is commonly found throughout Southeast Asia, and is often planted for its fleshy finger-like fruits. Fusion Spoon will be conducting banana mug cake cooking demonstrations, using bananas and just a few additional simple ingredients.   • 8 July 5.30pm to 6.30pm Cooking & Drink Demonstration:Halia’s Chili Crab Sauce & Singapore Sling The Villa @ The Halia - Singapore chilli crab is, without doubt, an iconic local dish in Singapore’s foodie scene, while the Singapore Sling is one this island nations’ most iconic cocktail creations, and a throwback to its colonial past. Provisions Store will be conducting a cooking demonstration of Halia’s Chilli Crab Sauce, and a drink demonstration of their rendition of the Singapore Sling.
