The concert will feature a series of musical performances from the school’s performing arts (such as the Symphonic Band, Chinese Orchestra and the String Ensemble) in celebration of the school’s 60th Anniversary (From 1958 to 2018).
The performances will build upon the school’s motto: Diligence, Determination, Loyalty & Dedication, Courage (勤 勉 忠 勇). The audience will be treated to different genres of music, ranging from rock-and-roll, pop to Singapore’s very own xinyao music. Besides current students that are performing, guest appearances include Cavin Soh (Mediacorp Artiste), Moses Lim (‘Under One Roof’) and Tan Yanwei (Part-Time Deejay). Some of the songs that will be performed include “Hound Dog”, “You Can’t Hurry Love”, “Hey Jude”, “Lemon Tree”, “夜上海”, “玫瑰玫瑰我爱你”, “爱神的箭”, “那些年, “菊花台”, amongst others.
